Mission Critical Specialists live up to their name by providing essential back-up power systems for large and small businesses. They design, install, and maintain uninterruptable power supply (UPS) systems that will keep your business up and running during a power failure. If you’ve ever tried to do business without power for even a day you know the value of the services they offer. If you haven’t had to deal with it, give it some thought… what would you do if you had to go days without power? What would it cost you to be out of business for a day or a week? It happens! Mission Critical Specialists wanted a dynamic yet professional look for their exterior and interior signage. A black background was great contrast for the red, gray and white logo. The lobby at Mission Critical Specialists’ office in Diamond Springs is spacious and bright and he long walls were begging for something dramatic. The exterior signs needed to be seen from the street with traffic moving about 20-30mph.
The lobby wall was already painted black. The overall size of the lobby sign was about 28 inches tall by 5 feet long. The large logo and letters were made from 2 inch thick foam with “back painted acrylic faces” and the sides of the foam painted to match. Back painting means that, before the acrylic face is attached to the foam letter it is painted on the back side so the front of the letter is shiny acrylic. The two inch thick letters and logo are what give it the dimensional look.
The exterior signs consisted of cut-vinyl lettering with their logo on the entrance door and 2 flat wall signs on the exterior of the building. The one wall sign in the parking lot directs visitors to the entrance and away from the open bays where the crews are working. The door lettering lets people know they’ve arrived at the right place and what their hours are plus the after-hours emergency phone number. The wall sign above the door is highly visible to traffic going in both directions.
