Outdoor banners need to withstand wind, rain, maybe snow, and sun exposure. Heavier banner material and a more secure way of displaying the banner is needed. Flag banners are typically fabric banners but made with material designed to be used outdoors. Most vinyl outdoor banners are made from 13oz banner material. Large banners that may be subject to heavy winds and harsh weather should be heavier material and may need wind slits. School banners and team banners are usually hung on a wall or along a fence. Clips or rope are usually enough to secure them. Large banners are often hung from cabling systems.
