I really enjoy working with teen-age guys and gals because of their incredible talent and enthusiasm. Most teenagers have a good idea of what they want to learn, because they want to emulate the artists that truly move them and speak to them.
My focus with teens is first to provide the guidance for proper technical development, (Hand-eye coordination, etc.), and second, to teach them the chords, riffs, and other stylistic characteristics of the music they want to learn. I get teenagers playing very quickly, which feeds their enthusiasm even more, and truly inspires me.

Rick Cittar founded Arcadia Music Studio in Concord to develop a community of musicians and performers. He produces his Young Artist Showcase series to create an opportunity for his students to perform for their parents and peers.
