Special-Fit, a physical fitness program located in our neighborhood of Chatsworth, California, reached out to us for a building sign to help with building identification. They share a space with Winning Edge Fitness, a gym and training site, so they needed a sign that would incorporate the two different logos. From the photos, you can see that this sign is just one panel that is just 2-dimensional. This is a mounted digital print. Mounted digital prints are an affordable way to display any information you want. As long as we have vector artwork, we can print whatever you want onto vinyl, mount it to a rigid substrate, and mount the entire panel onto an interior or exterior wall. For the backer panel, we used sibond. We typically use sibond for exterior mounted digital prints because it is a durable substrate that works great outdoors. There are many times that we also use sibond for interior mounted digital prints as long as the client isn't requesting a thick backer panel. The sibond is only 3mm thick so if a thicker panel is needed, we would use aluminum or acrylic which is more expensive. We only use name brand products to ensure the highest of quality. The artwork was printed onto 3M vinyl and laminated with Oraguard. We always laminate our digital prints for longevity, but it is especially important for exterior signs due to the sun exposure that they need to endure. Our laminate does help protect the print from UV rays, but digital prints can fade over time, especially in the Los Angeles area where the sun is very strong.
