Obert North America had a problem. They recently moved from Cerritos to Carson, CA to a spacious Watson building on Charles Willard Street and the trucks doing deliveries and pickups kept driving right on by. Well, no wonder. Obert moved in to space vacated by General Mills and the street side sign had not been updated. To make matters worse, the only address identification is high up on the building in beige numerals that don’t stand out well against the white building walls. The photo on the left shows the post and panel sign with the old General Mills content. Any truck driver searching for Obert would keep on looking when they say that sign. Needless to say, Obert realized they needed to do something and fast. They wanted a very simple sign with just their name and street address so the trucking lines would find them the first time, every time. Obert was also looking for a good deal. So, Exemplar Signs & Graphics re-used their existing panels and applied new messaging to clearly identify the Obert shipping driveway. Here’s the new sign from both sides. We got them up the next day and since then they no longer get the “Where are you?” calls from the truck drivers.
