Here is the wayfinding sign we made for him. Notice the deep rich brown tones and the seemingly metallic design details. Though no metallic inks were used, our state-of-the-art HP365 wife format printer was able to create an image that completely matched the designer’s rendering. Everyone who saw it, most importantly, Dave, remarked about how beautiful it came out.
Dave Mancia is a GIA gemologist and watch/clock repair expert. From his third-floor studio in the Sears / Long Beach building, he repairs and sells clocks, watches and jewelry. As a master craftsman jeweler, Dave also offers his own designs, leveraging both his knowledge of fine gemstones as well as his mastery of the lost-wax process for creating one-of-a-kind rings and jewelry pieces. Dave has recently adopted 3D-digital printing to create his wax originals for the lost-wax casting technique.
We work with Dave, as we do with all our customers, to collaboratively advise on fulfilling signage needs that accommodate brand message goals, schedules and budgets. As neighborhood sign makers, we are able to consult in person on jobs large and small. We turned Dave’s wedding sign around in a day to give him one less thing to worry about in the planning of his upcoming wedding. As I write this blog post, Dave is this day getting married. Congratulations, Dave! May you and your bride always be at each other’s side.

We have been providing signs to Sears Watch and Jewelry Repair in the Los Altos neighborhood of Long Beach, fulfilling different signs for owner, Dave Mancia. We called ahead to discuss the next part of Dave’s sign plan, but Dave told us he had a completely different request for us. It turns out Dave was getting married and wanted us to make a wedding reception venue wayfinding sign for him. He he wanted a 30” x 40” Art Deco poster design to guide their guests to their reception within the hotel. It was a beautiful design and we mounted it on a 1/8” PVC suitable for framing after their wedding. He was getting married at the end of the month, three weeks away, but he wanted to tick items off his to-do list and asked for delivery sooner rather than later. We delivered it the following day.
Here is the wayfinding sign we made for him. Notice the deep rich brown tones and the seemingly metallic design details. Though no metallic inks were used, our state-of-the-art HP365 wife format printer was able to create an image that completely matched the designer’s rendering.
