Saratoga, CA - Acura MDX Wheel Alignment Repair Service After Rough Road Damage

Improper alignment is a common problem in all types of vehicles, and over time it can cause some serious issues with the performance of a car. This issue can happen to any vehicle regardless of its model, brand, or type, and typically isn’t due to an issue with the car itself, but rather the result of daily driving.

Our team of auto pros works on misaligned vehicles often, and we are happy to provide alignment services for people in the San Jose area. We are proud to be the go-to provider of repair and service for many people in our communities, and we would love to help you as well.

In this article, we will be discussing alignment and the role it plays for your car. Specifically, we will discuss alignment in the Acura MDX. In the sections to follow, we will discuss what it feels like to drive a misaligned MDX, what causes a vehicle to get out of line, and how we fix it.

Symptoms of an Alignment Issue

Even if you aren’t a car person, alignment is a very simple concept to understand. For a vehicle to run as intended, all four wheels must be pointed in the same direction and oriented at the proper angle. When a vehicle’s wheels are slightly pointed in or out, or they are off-axis horizontally, the car will have some obvious symptoms. First, the car will want to pull to one side when driving. Also, you might notice your steering wheel won’t return to center after a turn. Finally, your tires will wear quickly, and in an uneven pattern. Driving with a misaligned vehicle can make it difficult to control, and will eventually ruin your tires.

Causes of Alignment Problems

In most cases, misalignment isn’t a result of a failing component of the vehicle itself, but rather an issue which happens through daily driving. With a vehicle like the MDX, there is enough clearance for the tires to come into contact with curbs. If you hit a curb unexpectedly at a high rate of speed, it’s likely to knock the vehicle out of alignment. This can also happen when you hit a large pothole, drive on a rough road, or have a fender bender.

Our Repair Approach

Getting a car back in line requires an experienced technician and sophisticated equipment to be done effectively. When we see an MDX which is out of line, we get it on the lift and examine the vehicle. We then apply state of the art sensors which measure the wheels and give us an idea of which direction the vehicle is out of line. From there, we can adjust the wheels to get them back into alignment.

Continuing Service Available

If your MDX has any of the symptoms above, come see us for a professional assessment and we will get it fixed. Alignment is generally part of our normal service plan for our regular customers, so if you stay current with your service needs then alignment becomes less of a problem. To ask specific questions or book your service appointment, give us a call today.
