Griffis Residential has its headquarters in Hollywood, but needed frosted privacy film for its offices in Anaheim. The client determined that we were a good fit to become their official suppliers, and the first project involved leasing office frosted glass graphics.
The problem was a glass wall at the front of the office that needed privacy treatment. Concurrently, the client wanted the natural light to continue streaming into the office. We suggested a minimalist design and installed it on the inside of the glass to provide the privacy film with additional UV protection.
The finished privacy film design gives the office front a sophisticated appearance while remaining completely functional.
Privacy Film vs. Bare Glass
The client had several options. One of them was to do nothing. In this case, passersby could have easily seen into the offices, creating the fishbowl effect. You already know that the privacy film enhanced the privacy and removed this problem. What else did it do?
-
Security. Office machines, such as computers and other high-end equipment, can draw unwanted attention. By obscuring the view into the office, you add a level of security to the space.
-
Glare. Anaheim’s abundant sunshine creates glare on office digital displays. Frosted film diffuses light, which makes looking at computer monitors much more comfortable.
-
Professional look. The frosted privacy film creates a polished, contemporary appearance that aligns with the client’s brand message.
Frosted Privacy Film vs. Roll-Up Shades
Roll-up shades block a significant amount of daylight. Frosted privacy film does not. While shades require constant raising and lowering during the day, the fact that they collect dust and must be cleaned continuously is another downside. Frosted privacy film provides consistent privacy while maintaining a clean, sleek appearance.
Traditional Window Treatments vs. Etched and Frosted Window Graphics
Curtains and blinds are an expensive investment compared to frosted privacy film. They also significantly change the overall look and feel of a space. Moreover, curtains give an office a dated look, while frosted film transforms the space with a contemporary aesthetic that complements office interiors. By the way, did you know that we can print on frosted vinyl? It is another brand-building opportunity that curtains do not offer.
