This week, we installed decals and lettering for commercial vehicles in Anaheim and La Mirada. Working with companies that keep a close eye on the budget is not new for us. In fact, we have made it our mission to save business clients money whenever possible. These two graphics installation projects exemplify the steps we take.
Case Studies: Roberson Waite Electric in Anaheim and Kaman Industrial Technologies in La Mirada
Located at 174 East Liberty Avenue in Anaheim, Roberson Waite Electric takes on substation projects of any size. In the past, we had done some work for this firm. This time, a management team representative contacted us to talk about the installation of decals and lettering on the company’s utility trailer. This trailer features rivets, which typically require the use of cast vinyl.
However, our graphic artist worked with the company’s logo and name specs and adjusted the design so that our installers could altogether avoid any rivets. At the same time, the design does not skimp on size or excellent placement. However, we were able to use the much less expensive calandered vinyl for the project, which saved the client money.
Kaman Industrial Technologies is located at 15700 Heron Avenue in La Mirada. This industrial distributor had purchased two trucks. A representative asked us to create door decals and lettering for them. These are F450 models that have the distinctive curvature on the doors. We measured the surfaces for the design.
By spacing the setup of the lettering so that the lettering would only be on the flat surfaces and not on the curved portion, we were once again able to avoid the need for the more expensive cast product and could select the calandered vinyl raw material instead. The finished product looks excellent, identifies the company, and saves the client money.
Superior Signs and Graphics Leverages Expert Industry Training to Benefit Business Clients
We underwent 3M’s preferred installer training program. This is a grueling process that combines classroom sessions with hands-on applications. Installers are judged by manufacturer representatives to gauge their abilities. The goal is to have the sign shop installer understand the materials that they are working with and use them in such a way that the business clients receive the full life span of value.
Our projects frequently highlight how we do wall tests for murals and graphics to select the right materials. When it comes to vehicle graphics, we do not have to conduct material testing. Here, we can save our clients money by creating outstanding designs that capitalize on the flat areas of the vehicles’ surfaces. It lets us work around rivets, grooves, and excessive curvatures. Therefore, having experts in the field of vinyl use and installation work with a professional graphics creator is essential.
