We were excited to be chosen by the Boys and Girls Club of Buena Park to help them add some thematic flare and interest to the entryway of their club. Part of the excitement was simply because WE LOVE WALL GRAPHICS! The endless possibilities and the relative newness of this advertising and decorating medium coupled with the amazing graphics capabilities of today’s large format printers cannot be described as anything less than exciting! But the other thing we were excited about was working with the Boys and Girls Club to make their place even better! 
The Boys and Girls Club of Buena Park helps countless children each year grow and develop as young children and teens into better members of society, and helps them reach their goals of both personal and academic growth. It also provides the kids in Buena Park with a safe place to go and just be a kid.
We have worked with the Boys and Girls Club of Buena Park in the past, and were paired up with the folks at Nutrilite/Amway for this project. Nutrilite is a generous sponsor of the Boys and Girls Club and were involved in this wrap from both a funding and design standpoint. Nutrilite wanted to make sure the wrap focused on the good work the club was doing and all of the good times its members and staff had over the past and recent years. That theme brought us to the photo collage design we used for the majority of the wrap.
The location we were wrapping was a challenge in itself, as it was a long hallway that goes from the entrance area to the gym where they have a really cool rock climbing wall…so the wrap would see a lot of traffic from the kids entering the club each day. Additionally, there were several obstacles to wrap around and the wall texture was rather rough, which makes wall wrapping even more difficult.
Due to these circumstances, we chose a special 3M vinyl made for conforming to rougher surfaces. The higher grade vinyl coupled with a special rough surfaces install tool and some additional adhesive for the edges helped the vinyl conform to the walls.
Our finished design is a photogallery of Boys and Girls Club of Buena Park fun times and events that the club members and staff can remember and be thankful for each time they pass by. The “BE GREAT” message on the top center of the wall wrap is reinforced with the message on the logo floor mat we designed and had made for the club and that sits at the club entrance. So whether you look up or down, the message you see every time you enter the club is there to inspire these kids to do just that…BE GREAT!
