Green Wave Ingredients Relocation Signage – by Superior Signs and Graphics

We recently helped an ingredients manufacturer in La Mirada, California with new interior and exterior signage, after they relocated their headquarters from Santa Fe Springs.  The move was to an interim location shared with another tenant, until their new La Mirada HQ building is completed.

Green Wave needed signage to address shipping and receiving needs as well as some interior presence in the lobby to identify the joint occupancy.  We worked through a marketing company that Green Wave had contracted with to identify the right signs for each location.

First, there needed to be some type of lobby sign so visitors would know they were in the right place, and to add some style to the entry.  We used a clear acrylic panel and cut a piece to size. Then after cleaning up the edges with a light sanding and flame treatment, we applied laminated printed vinyl to the acrylic panel cut in the shape of the Green Wave logo. The laminate was applied to ensure the sign will look great and can be easily relocated to their new headquarters when needed.

After solving the lobby sign issue, we made some exterior signs for the entrance to the shipping and receiving area.  The cement wall we would use as a mounting location was 70 feet off the street, so we used an entry sign closer to the street with Green Wave’s logo to identify the turn for trucks.  Then on the cement wall we hung a 2’ x 2’ exterior quality sign that identified the entrance to Shipping & Receiving the address, and again had the Green Wave logo. We used a product called Max Metal for this application – an aluminum sandwich around a PVC core.  The combination makes for a strong and weather resistant sign face that will not warp in wind or heat.  The printed 3M vinyl we used on the sign face was laminated to protect against moisture and UV rays.

We finished the shipping and receiving area off with dock signs over the three bays that Green Wave now occupied (the other tenant still occupied the others), and carried the same company logo and green colors over to the receiving gate sign that we made with the receiving hours.  Again, Max Metal was used, for strength and weather resistance.

Our friends at Green Wave were very happy with the sign quality and appearance, as well as our quick installation – completed in a few hours. Green Wave now has the right signage that addresses their needs, as well as the ability for them to have us relocate these signs in their future move if desired.
