At Superior Signs and Graphics, we had the pleasure of making some banners for Robert C. Fisler School in Fullerton, for their Read Across America Day, on March 2, 2013. They loved the banners that tied into some well-known children’s reading titles and helped dress up the school for the event.

During the same time, we donated to the school’s Spring Book Fair as well. We made posters to decorate the stage area where the book fair took place. We recycled some items like boxes, packing foam, latex ink tops , foil and butcher paper from our deliveries and with the student’s help, tied them into their book fair decorations. The end result looked really good, and you might not expect that it was all made from scraps.

Lastly, we made “Reading is fun!” stickers for the student’s book covers to encourage them to read more, and they loved them. Robert C. Fisler is a public K-8 school that has about 980 students, all with a great passion for academics and technology. Volunteering at this school has being a great experience for the Superior Signs and Graphics family and we would like to keep helping them as much as we can. We know every year they have to worry about budgets and cutbacks, so we want to do whatever we can to help out – no matter how small a contribution.

We look forward to working on more projects with the schools – whether it be banners, posters, or signage. We want to gain more experience and understand how we can add value to our school customers with our offerings. We are glad to be able to donate our time to help our kids accomplish their own goals as well.  Sometimes the smaller projects can be the most rewarding, and can help lead to bigger projects in the future!
