Stone or concrete were the preferred mediums. Kingfisher Signs & Graphics had just the right solution. [caption id="attachment_2990" align="alignright" width="300"] The finished routed HDU panels[/caption] It quickly became apparent that stone or concrete was going to be prohibitively expensive, so a more cost-effective solution was sought. Carved and routed HDU seemed like a promising way forward, so ideas were submitted based on this material. After much back and forth, a design was finalized, consisting of a main panel bearing the practice’s name, logo and “Welcome”, below which the names of the two veterinarians hang on separate plaques, connected by chains. All the lettering and graphics were to be routed out of the HDU and hand painted. One complication was that due to the asymmetrical design of the main plaque, the chains supporting the name plaques had to be of different lengths. In the end, the finished product looked great. The doctors at Metro Cat Clinic loved the sign. They have a truly unique, custom main building sign that provides a memorable and whimsical greeting to their customers.
