A responsible gun owner can never have enough training about gun safety and how to use, clean and store their firearm. Even seasoned professionals use our training courses to hone their skills, and we offer courses tailor made for beginners to build a positive foundation of gun knowledge.

We have state-of-the-art shooting ranges, a stocked munitions store and the best team of instructors in the area who lead our firearm education courses.

Many of our instructors have experience in the real world as former military or law enforcement officers, and they’re all NRA certified.

When it comes to our beginner’s courses, most people start out with handguns. If you want a firearm for personal defense, a handgun is a natural choice and learning to use it effectively is important for any beginner.

We cover several topics in our beginner class to equip you with the knowledge to understand your gun and how to use it. You can bring your own gun, or rent one from our rental fleet if you are still feeling out the idea of owning a handgun.

For starters, we cover some practices for gun safety which apply to any type of gun, and stress the responsibility which accompanies gun ownership. We also talk about the most common types of handguns and their features, as well as a little background on how they actually work to give a solid basis of understanding for any participant.

Practical skills for beginners are also covered, such as how to disassemble and care for your gun to keep it working correctly for years, how to load and unload the weapon and safely fire the gun.

The first course in handguns includes time in the classroom and on the range, applying what you learn in real time. People who take our courses love the ability to ask questions on the range and shoot immediately following the classroom session.

Some people feel they have a good knowledge base after one course, but for those who want to have a deeper understanding we offer a full catalog of classes for any firearm, and a series related directly to handguns where we progress through advanced topics such as the proper shooting stance, how to shoot accurately, changing magazines, trigger control and much more.
