Not only does our shooting range offer a variety of firearm courses for beginners through advanced shooters, but we also have firearm courses specifically designed for women.

Women’s shooting courses give female participants the chance to gain crucial firearm and shooting knowledge in a supportive environment. Below are some of the benefits of taking a women’s shooting class here at C2 Tactical.

Firearm Familiarity

To gain genuine confidence and comfort in using firearms, it’s important to become familiar with firearms in general.

For this reason, we teach course participants about the different functions of firearms, proper firearm grip and stance, how to properly load and unload a gun, and how firearms should be adequately and legally stored.

Simply becoming more familiar with weapons can make using firearms for recreational and self-defense purposes less anxiety-provoking.

Breaking “Gender Norms”

One of the most empowering aspects of taking women’s shooting classes is how they break down the “gender norm” of “guns are only for men.”

At C2 Tactical, our women’s shooting courses are built around helping women feel more confident in a traditionally male-dominated activity. Our goal is to help females gain independence, feel supported when learning new skills, and generally gain equal access to firearm education.

Solid Skill Development

In our women’s shooting courses, we support proper skill development through safe firearm handling, technique correction, repeated foundational knowledge application, and hands-on instruction.

Ultimately, the skills we help women develop in our firearm training courses can help set a solid foundation for skill advancement. After all, our objective isn’t just to inform participants but to ensure content learned sticks with them and can be applied throughout their firearm training and usage.

Building a Defensive Mindset

Learning about firearms goes well beyond simply learning how to physically use them. Developing the right mindset plays an equally important role when taking a shooting course.

With many women (and men) new to firearms struggling to know how to make proper decisions when it comes to gun usage, which can have a negative impact on their confidence in using a weapon, our courses strongly focus on building a defensive mindset.

With a defensive mindset, our course participants can better learn how to pay attention to their surroundings, avoid unnecessary confrontation, remain calm and composed during high-stress situations, and de-escalate a tense situation if and when it arises.

Education Led by a Professional

At C2 Tactical, we offer professionally led shooting courses for women looking to gain firearm skills. With our courses orchestrated by professional instructors, this gives participants the opportunity to gain the most value out of shooting education.

From normalizing women participating in shooting firearms to fostering a community where both men and women feel welcome, leave it to C2 Tactical to provide a safe environment for anyone wanting to learn the basics of shooting or expand their current firearm knowledge.
