A productive range day starts with smart prep. At C2 Tactical of Tempe, we welcome first-timers and experienced shooters alike, and a few pieces of the right kit will help you settle in, focus on skills, and leave with measurable progress. Our state-of-the-art indoor lanes use advanced ventilation and programmable target carriers, so your gear only needs to do one job—support safe, efficient training.
Safety essentials: eyes, ears, and comfort
Bring quality eye and ear protection. Put both on before you enter the bay and keep them on until you exit. If you prefer to travel light, our range packages include eye and ear protection, and we offer options on-site. A brimmed cap, closed-toe shoes, and a lightweight long-sleeve shirt will add comfort during extended sessions.
Firearm, magazines, and support gear
If you own a firearm, pack two to four magazines to keep your reps uninterrupted. A mag loader speeds up the work between strings. Running a pistol from a holster during classes requires range-approved gear and proper instruction—ask us before you book. No firearm yet? Rent from us and focus on fundamentals while our team guides selection.
Range-safe ammunition and targets
Plan your ammo based on drills and pace. For indoor training, avoid steel-cored, bi-metal jacketed, tracer, or penetrative rounds, which are prohibited on our ranges. Our experience shows you will shoot more than you expect once you find your groove, so consider extra rounds. Packages include targets, and we stock additional options at the counter.
Tools that save time
A simple range bag keeps everything organized. Add a marker for noting groups, a roll of tape or paste for quick target refreshes, a shot timer if you train to standards, and a small multitool for sight or optic tweaks. A notebook—or notes app—helps you log drills, par times, and takeaways.
Hydration and housekeeping
Indoor ranges run cool, yet hydration still matters. Pack water and a light snack for longer blocks. Disposable wipes or a small towel make cleanup easy before you head out to the lobby or your car.
Make the most of your visit.
