Despite being an indoor gun range, one of our goals at C2 Tactical is to provide everyone with the means, skills, and knowledge to be able to adequately defend themselves should the situation arise. And sometimes people want to be able to do this in a less lethal way than carrying a firearm. That’s why we offer non-firearm and less lethal training programs at our gun range. These courses give students the opportunity to expand their knowledge and self-defense skills to easier weapons. These include a taser, a baton, a knife, and using a tactical flashlight. Check out the overview of each class below and find the one that’s right for your needs! Taser Civilian Course This course was developed in cooperation with Taser International and is now used nation-wide to certify instructors. We are the world’s first venue to offer this course to civilians and are proud to final open it up. After completely this class, for a small extra fee you can receive a certification stating your are a responsible Taser Pulse owner. The focus areas of this class include proper methods of drawing a taser from a side holster, improving accuracy with shooting the first taser shot from the holster, learning taser follow-through motions, understanding the legal obligations and ramifications surrounding taser ownership and use, and understanding the technical specifications of the Taser Pulse product. Introduction to Baton Course This class is self-explanatory by the title. It is an introduction to the use of a baton as a self-defense weapon. This is a great option for anyone looking for a non-lethal defensive maneuver. Focus areas in this class include understanding the legal use of physical and deadly force, knowing proper carry and deployment of a baton, knowing how to use the basic baton self-defense techniques, and being able to properly maintain your baton. Defensive Edge Weapons/Knife Course Knives are considered to be the ultimate protection tool in a personal self-defense situation. It can be more adaptable to the situation and more effective than a firearm in some ways. This class is specifically recommended for those interested in learning about self-defense in a confined space or non-permissive environments. The focus areas of this class include self-defense tactics to use within a small or confined space, or spaces where other forms of self-defense are not permitted such as a firearm. Tactical Flashlight We believe the tactical flashlight is an often-overlooked tool when it comes to self-defense. It is great and tactical for personal protection and self-defense situations. They are great for self-defense situations in a low-light or dark environment. They can also function in a similar way to a baton in self-defense situations as they are a similar shape. Focus topics in this class will be showing the student a multitude of uses the tactical flashlight is beneficial for, home defense situations with a tactical flashlight, personal protection tactics with a tactical flashlight, how to conduct a low-light search and the best ways to use a tactical flashlight in close quarters defense.
