One of the most popular series of classes that we offer is our concealed carry weapon (CCW) classes. Especially with the heightened dangers of the world these days, more and more people are looking to get CCW certified.
Along with giving you all the information you need to successfully apply for CCW certification, we offer classes that also teach you the best practices to be a responsible CCW citizen. AZ Concealed Carry Basics (CCW4)
The first class in our CCW series of classes is CCW4. It is specifically designed for anyone that doesn’t already have a CCW license and will give you all the information and knowledge you need to successfully apply for one. All shooters who are at least 21 years old are welcome to join in on this class regardless of previous shooting experience.
All of our instructors on the range are NRA certified, and many of them also come from a military or law enforcement background. They share their unique knowledge with their students every day on the range. Within this first CCW class this knowledge is especially useful to teach students the best ways of dealing with law enforcement as a CCW carrier, and how to deal with conflict aftermath that involves law enforcement.
It is important to understand that this class WILL NOT give you a license. That is only something the Arizona Department of Public Safety is able to grant. This class only gives you the information and knowledge you need to confidently submit an application to the DPS.
Every Day Carry Principles (EDC)
After you have been CCW certified, we highly encourage you to take our second class in the CCW series. It is known to be an absolute MUST for CCW citizens. The 4 hours of this class are completely on the range with live-fire drills. Students in this class will evolve the necessary skills regarding their CCW weapon of choice.
Some of the skills that are developed and evolved in this class include dealing with malfunctions, reloading operations, defensive maneuvers, firearm retrieval, shooting, and holster draw stroke concepts and techniques.
Judgmental Shooting in the Home
Our final class in the CCW series will continue to put the CCW skills and concepts into practical use in the everyday world. This class uses our state-of-the-art laser simulator to put students in the real-world context and practice common dangerous situations they could encounter. It creates the pressure they will face in real-world situations.
Students in this class receive 1-on-1 time with the instructor to help coach and debrief their time in the simulator. Instructors will help them analyze mistakes and come up with tactics to effectively improve their skills for the next time.
