Some women choose to do fitness, others kickboxing or knitting. There are plenty of things that people choose to do to pass their free time, but only an exclusive choose to spend their time at the range. These women have a connection to each other like no other, but it can be hard to find them in such a male dominated industry. That’s why C2 Tactical is doing everything possible to make safe and easy to access spaces for the women of our community to find each other and create those awesome connections.
We have not only FREE RANGE TIME on Monday for women, but we have created a series of ladies only shooting class that happens throughout the week. It’s the best and easiest way to find a community of like-minded ladies who want to improve their skills and have a second home at the range.
Why Choose Ladies Only?
In our ladies only classes, both offensive and defensive skills surrounding firearms are learned. These classes aim to give women the knowledge, skillset, and confidence to defend themselves if needed. We believe that simply having this knowledge can help women feel safer in their day-to-day life.
Not to mention that there are some situations and understandings that only women can relate to. Men simply don’t understand, and these classes create a safe space for women to process these situations and learn the best way of handling them. It gives more comfort and support to be surrounded by women with similar goals of learning firearm defense and offense.
Women’s Basic Pistol Course
This class is designed for the absolute beginner and is all about the offensive. It teaches the fundamentals of handguns and with an emphasis on how to safely and accurately operate them. Topics include loading and unloading, stance, breath control, and follow-through. This class continues with putting these skills in the range. After this class women will be able to shoot consistent groupings as far as 18ft.
Intermediate Pistol Operation and Handling
This second class continues in the offensive theme and builds on the skills learned in the basic class. This course continues to expand students’ knowledge of different firearms like semi-automatic pistols and revolvers. More practical skills learned in this class include holster usage for concealed and carry and understanding the color codes of awareness to establish boundaries.
Women’s Defensive Pistol
The final class in our ladies shooting series is all about the defensive. It starts with the fundamental mindset of Avoid, Escape, and Defend. It teaches students to be a responsibly armed woman and the justifiable use of force in self-defense situations. It really focuses on the mental aspect of self-defense with tactics of how to approach conflict if the situation should ever arise where they need to use their newfound defensives skills. There are a few offensive tactics as well in this class like shooting from a high compressed ready position and multiple loading and reloading methods, but they are all focused on how to use this to defend yourself.
