C2 Tactical offers courses on all sorts of firearms and even some less lethal defensive classes. Each of our class series are designed for certain shooter skills from the most basic of fundamentals to the more advanced and detailed courses to improve skills. Despite their less-than-ideal everyday use, rifles are becoming more and more popular on the market and people want to learn how to shoot them properly. That’s why we now have rifle training classes for all skill levels available at our gun range.
The three-series onsite courses we offer for rifle training start with the absolute fundamentals of safety and progress to the more advanced techniques and situations that could be encountered. These courses are great for any and all shooters whether that’s the absolute beginner looking for somewhere to start, skilled shooters who are new to the rifle, or very experienced shooters who need a bit of a review on best practices.
Rifle 100 – The first class is our Introduction to Carbine course. This starts at the very basics including the history and development of the rifles and some basic usage with an emphasis on safety. It is really geared towards those who have recently purchased a rifle and want to know basics of using it.
Rifle 200 – Carbine Fundamentals continues to build on the previous classes and begins to focus on hypothetical situations and tactics regarding rifle usage. Students learn about close-quarters personal protection for bot inside and outside the home. It includes classroom and range time to do live-fire drills and hands-on dry practice to give students confidence in their shooting.
Rifle 300 – The most advanced course in this three-part series is the Practice Carbone class. This course builds on both of the previous two courses and progresses into those very advanced techniques and situations surrounding rifles. These include low-light encounters and using a tactical pistol. This class also includes some classroom and range time to do live-fire drills and hands-on practices of the learned techniques.
Our offsite courses conducted at CowTown Range once again progress from the most basic of operations around precision long range rifles to more advanced situational techniques.
Precision Long Range Rifle Course – This three-part series is very similar to the progressive track of the onsite rifle courses. It begins with the very basic safety and equipment challenges that could come about and finishes with a class meant for shooters who want to push their limitations. These more advanced techniques are great for competitive shooting, hunting, or simply just improving your shot.
Defensive Carbine Operator – for students who want to apply their learned skills in an outdoor and more practical environment, we offer the defensive carbine operator. It is geared towards intermediate shooters as it does not go over basic equipment usage or safety so that the course can specifically focus on the practicality aspect. After this course we encourage you to check out the advanced carbine operator course to help absolutely master the rifle.
