The nature of a private lesson is customizable. The curriculum and what you focus on can be a collaboration between you and the instructor. It is unlike our open classes where there is a set topic and curriculum to follow so everyone can get on the same page. Instead, private lessons allow the student to go at their own pace whether that’s relatively quickly, or the need to take the entire time practicing one technique. There is no need to wait for the whole class to be ready to move on because you are the whole class!
These lessons are an amazing opportunity for beginners, advanced shooters, and anyone in between. Our instructors are all highly experienced and are there to help you hone your skills in the quickest way through the personal setting. Many of them come from military or law enforcement backgrounds and bring this unique knowledge and experience to the lessons. They can help you find ways to navigate specific situations, as well as find the best technique for shooting. They are all NRA certified to teach the best practices when it comes to firearms.
However, shooting and learning is always more fun with friends. We do offer the opportunity to bring up to 2 friends to your private lessons for an additional fee. In order to keep the private lesson private and personalized, we ask that no more than 2 additional people come. Otherwise, it can easily turn into a group session and the instructor’s attention will be spread a bit thin.
The lesson fee includes 1 pistol rental, but if you would prefer to bring a firearm from home that you have been wanting to learn how to use or improve your shot with, that is entirely welcome. Private lessons need to be booked at least a day in advance, but are able to be scheduled around your life.
