Kimber has the 1911 CDPs in different sizes. You can order a full-sized CDP built to spec if you know the weapon well enough to customize it. If you aren't an experienced shooter, there are standard options like the Ultra CDP, with a 3-inch barrel and a short frame. Compared to older 1911 models, the precision-crafted Ultra CDP is nothing short of a masterpiece. There's also the Pro CDP with a 4-inch barrel that's better suited for experienced gun aficionados.

Kimber CDP 45ACP Finish
Back in the day, manufacturers had limited options for finishes on 1911 models, and the finish would be all but gone after the weapon had been used a few thousand times for practice. However, Kimber's CDP has a unique finish with 30 LPI checkering under the trigger guard and the front strap.
The CDP also features a spray-on KimPro II finish on the frame to guard against rust that can withstand the wear and tear of a few thousand draws. The slide is stainless steel with a similar finish in satin silver for both Ultra and Pro models.
