Four courses in the sequence are mathematics: Math for Data Science 1 through 4. Three stages, in order

Technical: acquire, clean, and manage data, handle massive datasets, use machine learning and optimization to make decisions, and assemble computational processes with widely available market tools.
Communication: visualize data for exploration, analysis, and communication, collaborate across functional teams, perform reproducible data analysis, and conduct data science work mindful of policy, privacy, security, and ethics.
That last cluster deserves more attention than it usually gets. Reproducibility and cross-team collaboration separate a data scientist whose work ships from one whose notebooks quietly rot.
