Just two hours north of Sarasota, Vedere University has built a “research-while-you-learn” ecosystem: two 36-credit master’s programs, short professional courses, and capstones addressing real challenges faced by Florida healthcare providers. From crunching numbers to growing great leaders and building new tech, the projects just keep coming. Students directly improve health services for folks all along the Gulf Coast.
Quick Facts
Vedere specializes in flexible, online study for high-growth fields. Its MSc Healthcare Analytics (MSHA) and MSc Healthcare Management (MSHM) each follow a three-stage, 36-credit sequence full-time professionals can finish in about two years.
Programs are delivered 100% online, blending asynchronous content with live seminars. Intakes run three times per year (January, April, September).
1. Data-Driven Care
MSHA students progress through Python, statistics, machine-learning and visual-analytics modules before tackling a healthcare capstone that uses de-identified electronic-health-record data provided by Access Health Care Physicians.
Analytics courses teach students to turn clinical data into actionable insights.
Coursework emphasizes turning raw EHR streams into actionable insights for value-based-care contracts.
2. Leadership & Operations
The MSHM degree blends four pillars: healthcare fundamentals, business essentials, technology, and transformational leadership to prepare managers who can apply research to day-to-day operations.
3. Collaboration Engine
- Access Health Care Physicians supports the university’s healthcare programs.
- Vedere Institute faculty include clinician-scientists and data-science researchers such as Dr. David Lopez, formerly of the Alan Turing Institute.
- Blog posts and course write-ups explain how teams navigate HIPAA and IRB requirements, giving future cohorts a ready playbook.
4. Student-Led Labs & Micro-Credentials
Learners can stack 25- to 30-hour, self-paced courses like the Medicare Risk Adjustment series into certificates in cost-containment analytics or healthcare consulting.
5. Sarasota Spotlight
Graduates have applied analytics skills in community healthcare settings, which is proof that innovation travels the Gulf Coast, not just the campus.
