education, graduation, technology and people concept – group of happy international students in mortar boards and bachelor gowns with diplomas taking selfie by smartphone
As a global student considering a U.S. university, understand that you’re in the company of many, and that opportunities exist. Vedere University has fully online, adaptable programs that welcome international students, such as those living in Orlando, FL, or relocating there. Already in the country, or relocating for the first time, we want to make it easier.
There are a number of things that we’ll be asking you to study with us. We’ll outline them here.
Academic Requirements
Your educational background is the foundation for your application. Vedere University has particular educational requirements that both international and local applicants must meet:
• Undergraduate Program: Official transcripts from secondary school (high school diploma equivalent).
• Graduate Degrees: A baccalaureate degree from a reputable institution, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 and above. A minimum of five years’ verifiable work experience is also required for certain programs.
International degree recipients should have their credentials evaluated by a third-party credential assessment service.
English Language Skills
All courses are taught in English at Vedere University. International applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency in order to participate in the coursework. Acceptable tests and their minimum scores are:
• TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 61
• IELTS: Minimum overall band score: 5
• Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 95
These policies align with existing policies in most U.S. institutions. If you’ve got previous studies in English or studied in an English medium institution, you might be qualified for a waiver. It is better to check with the admissions team for details.
Application Process
Vedere University follows a rolling admission plan. While applicants can apply throughout the year, it is best that they apply at least a month before the desired term. The application process involves:
• Application Form: Personal statements and essays are included
• Résumé: Summarizing educational and career
• Official Academic Transcripts and Diplomas: from all institutions attended
• Letters of Recommendation: Your current employer, if at all possible.
Standardized tests like the GMAT or GRE are not required but can be submitted in support of your application if available.
Visa and Residency Status
Since all the courses at Vedere University are online, international students can learn from their home countries without needing to travel. However, if you’re already in the U.S. or relocating there, make sure your visa status or residency status permits online studies. Currently, Vedere University does not offer I-20 forms for F-1 student visas.
