Get your game back with pain care for golfers

BY: ,
As people get older, they tend to have more time to pursue their passions. For many people, especially those who live in the Phoenix area and are surrounded by some of the best courses in the country, this involves playing lots of golf. The negative aspect of this is the chronic pain which can accompany golfers who are over 50. Everyone understands it's harder to get the same distance on every shot, and some swing adjustments are necessary as you get older, but pain in the back, shoulders or legs can severely hinder your ability to enjoy the game. Since our chiropractic office is located in the Phoenix area, we have several patients who come to us with the goal of getting back on the course, improving their handicap and/or playing to the best of their ability, even at retirement age. In this article, we will cover our process of chiropractic care for golfers with the goal of helping potential clients who may be in pain on the course determine if our team can assist them.  Our facility is staffed by trained doctors who have different specialties, including chiropractic care, massage therapy, physical therapy and functional medicine. With any aspect of our care, the first step we take is to actively listen to your concerns and understand your goals of medical care. Other chiropractic care providers might treat your issues with a “cookie-cutter” plan and give general treatment, but our goal is to personalize your care and align it with your health goals. For our golf clients, most of the time the goals are a pain-free swing or the ability to play a round (walking or in the cart) with as little pain as possible. Our team is trained to get to the root cause of the pain and address the issue, no matter which bodily systems are affected. Our clients prefer working with us because unlike some other medical professionals, our first option involves treating the issue naturally, without the need for medication.  We are trained in chiropractic care, and our approach is holistic and involves hands-on techniques with the goal of proper alignment of joints and the spine. Through these methods, we can typically correct common pains which ail golfers without the need for medicines with potentially harmful side effects. In an effort to provide permanent care, our team can address the issue as soon as we begin working together and continue to help toward the goal of pain-free golf. Many clients feel improvement after their first session, and our aim is to get you back on track with as many or few appointments as it takes. We won’t schedule appointments which aren’t necessary, and our team even provides at-home exercises specific to your issue which can keep you out of the office and on the course. If you’re ready to start playing your best golf, without pain, we would love to consult with you and provide more information on how our chiropractic services work. Please feel free to browse our website for detailed info, or give us a call today to set up an introductory consultation.
