Phoenix-Area Experts Offer Regenerative Services
The human body possesses an amazing ability to heal itself, and regenerative medicine seeks to use the systems and components of the body to strengthen or speed up the healing process. While it might sound like something from a science fiction story, certain types of regenerative medicine are in use today and have been proven to facilitate healing in the body.
While the field of regenerative medicine is constantly evolving and there are exciting possibilities for future developments, there are a few techniques which are widely used today with positive success rates. We employ some of these at our Phoenix-area clinic and they can help with a wide variety of issues.
Our team focuses on natural healing, and regenerative medicine falls in line with our goal to help people achieve their ideal health goals through natural means. We offer a full catalog of services which can be used alongside regenerative medicine to give our patients the best chance at recovery. These include physical therapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, wellness care and more.
We currently offer two types of regenerative medicine in our office, and we will explain a little about each of them in the sections below.
Ozone Therapy
We all understand the importance of oxygen in the body, but its uses in a medical environment go beyond just the air we breathe. Ozone therapy’s main focus is to provide extra amounts of oxygen to targeted areas of the body. This excess oxygen is delivered in the form of three oxygen molecules, also known as ozone. Ozone therapy has several uses, including the ability to eliminate harmful bacteria or other substances, encourage the body to begin cell growth and repair and also to improve circulation. When performed by a trained professional in conjunction with a full health plan, ozone therapy can speed up the healing process for a number of common ailments.
PRP Injections
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. Platelets exist naturally in the body, and they are very important in the healing process any time you get an injury. These platelets trigger the body to begin cell growth and they are found in the blood. When we perform PRP therapy, we take blood from a patient and put it in a special machine which can separate out the platelets. After separation, the platelets are injected back into the patient, this time directly into a problem area. The presence of these extra platelets can kick-start the healing process and allow the body to regenerate faster.
These solutions are valuable as part of a total health plan, and if you could benefit from either one, our team members can explain their benefits in full detail. When we work with any patients, we take the time to understand their health goals and create a plan to help them reach them, which can include several of our services.
