Sacramento, CA - Churches and Places of Worship: Wayfinding / Directional Signs

SYNOPSIS: This article covers the ways wayfinding and directional signs help churches and other places of worship. We provide an overview of each sign type and examples of how they are used.

Make it Easy for Your Congregation to Find You

BY: ,

Churches and places of worship rely on wayfinding and directional signs to assist people in navigating their facilities. At FASTSIGNS® of Sacramento / Natomas Airport, CA, we will create a comprehensive sign program for your church, synagogue, mosque, or temple, including:

  • Directional Signs
  • Informational Signs
  • Identification Signs
  • ADA Signs
  • Wall Graphics
  • Overhead Signs

Directional Signs

Directional signs are essential for the interior any large building, but they're especially important in places of worship where people may be unfamiliar with the layout. We design and produce directional signs to make it easy for visitors to find their way around your facility. They also play an important role in parking lots and on the exterior of your buildings.

Informational Signs

These signs communicate a room’s function and make it easy to locate. Larger churches should create a map to place outside the main entrance in a cabinet sign on a monument sign.

Identification Signs

Your church or place of worship is likely already using some form of identification signs. But are your signs outdated or in need of repair? We will update your signs with bright and vibrant digital or static signs, including bathroom and room identification signs.

ADA Signs

All public places are required to have ADA-compliant signs. If your church or place of worship is not currently in compliance, you will be subject to fines and lawsuits. Ensure you have tactile and braille signs where required. Also, ensure you have the proper handicapped accessible parking signs.

Wall Graphics

In addition to the traditional signs, we also offer custom wall graphics used to make navigation cues easier to see. They are typically applied to walls with arrows, the location’s name, and at intersections to make your church as inviting and simple to navigate as possible.

Overhead Signs

While also being an ADA requirement, overhead signs are an easy way to add directional guidance throughout your facility. These signs are typically hung from the ceiling or mounted on poles and are especially helpful in hallways and large open spaces.

Benefits of a Cohesive Directional System

  • Helping people feel welcome and comfortable in your facility
  • Reducing congestion and traffic
  • Improving the flow of foot traffic
  • Making your church or place of worship more accessible to everyone

At FASTSIGNS® of Sacramento/Natomas Airport, CA, we offer a variety of solutions to make it easy for your congregation to find their way. From simple, single-directional signs to complex wayfinding systems to guide people through an entire campus, we create solutions for churches to run successfully.
