Do you want to know how to prevent Coronavirus? Here are a few things you can do.

It has been almost three months since the outbreak of Coronavirus. It started in China, but it has spread throughout the world now. Some countries around the globe are in a state of lockdown and all countries are encouraging social distancing to fight this disease. Unfortunately, there isn’t any vaccine or drug as of now to combat this virus. However, scientists all across the globe are trying their best to come up with a vaccine to fight the pandemic.Corona virus

For now, the best way to protect yourself from this virus is to ensure social distancing. This virus is contagious and spreads through respiratory droplets, which may be produced through coughing or sneezing. If these droplets land in your mouth, nose or eyes, you can easily get infected.  Hence, you must maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from other people.

Besides social distancing, in this article, we shall discuss ways to prevent yourself from catching the Coronavirus.

Isolate Yourself

With the number of Coronavirus victims spiking every second, it is better to stay inside. Whether you are sick or not, distancing yourself from the public is essential. Doing so, you will keep yourself, as well as those around you, safe from this contagious disease. Stay away from people you know are sick or are suffering from any fever or flu.

Wash Your Hands Regularly

Up until now, we have discussed the importance of self-isolation. Now, let’s talk about the importance of washing your hands. Whether or not you are sneezing or coughing, make sure to wash your hands with a bar of soap and rinse them for at least 20 seconds. If soap isn’t available, get hold of a medicated hand sanitizer, which contains at least 60% alcohol. As long as the Coronavirus is out there, refrain from touching your face, mouth, or nose with unwashed hands.

Cover Your Face

If you are about to cough or sneeze, cover your face with a tissue paper. Dispose of the tissues immediately after use. After using the tissue paper, wash your hands, or sanitize them at least.

If you are sick, wear a facemask, especially if you are interacting with other people, or are exposed to any public setting. If a facemask isn’t readily available, at least cover your face when you sneeze. To protect the people in your surroundings, ask them to cover their faces before interacting with you. Similarly, if you are meeting a person who’s sick, wear a mask, and advise them to do the same.

Cleaning and Disinfection

Places that are touched frequently should be cleaned and disinfected. These places include doorknobs, windows, furniture, toilet seats, and toilet showers. You can create a mixture of water and bleach to disinfect these areas, or you can get a disinfectant approved by the EPA.

So, folks, we hope you understood how you can protect yourselves from this pandemic. In short, stay home, stay clean, and stay safe.
