Celebrate Your Engagement With Something Different
An engagement party should feel like a celebration, not an evening spent waiting for the next speech. Once everyone has offered congratulations, a shared activity gives guests another way to connect, laugh, and make memories with the couple.
At 9Yards Golf Course Simulators of Pittsburgh, PA, we host engagement parties featuring Golfzon TwoVision simulators, private room access, lounge seating, TVs, and customizable food and beverage arrangements. Couples will enjoy a flexible indoor setting with friends and family, whether the guest list includes dedicated golfers or complete beginners.
One Bay or Several? Start With the Guest List
For a smaller celebration, reserve one simulator bay and keep the party close-knit. Each bay comfortably accommodates up to six guests. Bigger engagement parties may use multiple bays with extra lounge seating, giving everyone room to play, watch, and talk without crowding around one screen.
Before booking, consider how many guests will actually play. Some may want to compete all evening, while others will prefer to socialize. Sharing the expected headcount helps us recommend an appropriate layout and enough simulator time for the group's plans.
Are Drinks Included With the Rental?
We offer beverage packages for private engagement events, including beer and wine, along with choices from our regular drink menu. Guests may also order cocktails, nonalcoholic beverages, coffee, and other refreshments. A welcome toast followed by casual drinks during gameplay creates an easy rhythm for the evening.
However, a bay reservation should not be mistaken for an automatically inclusive drink package. Our event page mentions coordinated drinks and beverage packages, but it does not list a universal bundled price. Ask our team which beverages and service options are included in your particular event arrangement before confirming the reservation.
Pair the Toast With Food Everyone Will Share
A good engagement party needs enough food to keep guests comfortable between games. Our catering menu includes pizza, chicken tenders, pasta, pretzel bites, and other appetizers. The regular menu also features wings, snacks, and desserts.
Hosts may arrange a few shareable selections or plan a more substantial meal, depending on their schedule. Catering orders require at least 48 hours' notice, so food choices should be discussed when arranging the event. Consider serving food before the main competition, then saving dessert for another toast.
Make the Couple Part of the Competition
Golf offers plenty of ways to build a party around the newly engaged couple. Start with a couples-versus-guests challenge, or organize a scramble so experienced players and beginners can play together. For a quick competition, choose an arcade-style game such as Darts or Whack-A-Mole.
Our staff will help first-time players get comfortable with the equipment. Between turns, guests can relax in the lounge, celebrate with the couple, and enjoy the event without feeling pressured to play. A photo of the winning team gives everyone another keepsake from the celebration.
Reserve Early and Celebrate Your Way
One advantage of an indoor engagement party is freedom from Pittsburgh weather. Rain, cold, or unexpected changes in the forecast will not interrupt the simulator experience.
To plan your celebration, contact us with your preferred date, approximate guest count, desired number of bays, food preferences, and drink-package questions. We will help coordinate the details so the evening focuses on the couple, their guests, and the exciting chapter ahead.
