Make the Reveal the Highlight, Not the Only Activity
A gender reveal party brings family and friends together for one exciting announcement. Still, the guests need something to enjoy before the big moment. An indoor golf simulator party gives everyone a shared activity while the parents-to-be prepare their surprise.
At 9Yards Golf of Pittsburgh, PA, we offer private event space with Golfzon simulators, lounge seating, arcade-style games, and food service. Families will enjoy a comfortable celebration regardless of Pittsburgh's unpredictable weather, with plenty of opportunities for photos, conversation, and a memorable reveal.
Plan a Sweet Surprise With a Reveal Cake
A cake with a colored center is a simple way to make dessert part of the announcement. Ask a bakery to prepare the cake, then let the parents-to-be cut the first slice as everyone gathers around. Cupcakes with surprise fillings offer another idea, especially when younger guests want to join the countdown.
Our gender reveal party guidelines allow guests to bring a cake or a small, reveal-specific item, such as balloons or a prop. Let us know your plans beforehand so we can discuss the setup and keep the announcement running smoothly. Outside food is generally not permitted.
Add Desserts Guests Can Enjoy While Playing
A reveal cake may provide the big moment, but it does not have to be the only dessert. Our regular food menu includes Nightingale ice cream sandwiches in flavors such as Cookie Monster, Strawberry Shortcake, and Chocolate Blackout. Churro bites, tossed in cinnamon sugar and drizzled with chocolate sauce, provide another option for guests looking for a quick sweet treat.
Serve the desserts after the reveal or offer them as guests take turns playing. Confirm menu availability and your preferred serving plan when reserving the event.
Turn Predictions Into Friendly Golf Games
Before the announcement, invite guests to make their predictions and join a few lighthearted golf challenges. A closest-to-the-pin contest or team scramble will give everyone a reason to participate. You might even name the teams after the two predictions and hand out a playful prize after the reveal.
Our Golfzon game modes include beginner-friendly choices and arcade options such as Darts and Whack-A-Mole. Experienced golfers can enjoy traditional course play, while first-timers have simpler ways to join the fun. Staff will help guests get started.
Make Room for the Whole Family
A small reveal may need only one private bay, which comfortably accommodates up to six guests. Larger gatherings may reserve multiple bays and additional lounge seating so grandparents, siblings, friends, and coworkers have space to visit without interrupting gameplay.
We will help coordinate seating, catering, and timing around the expected headcount. If the group wants a meal before dessert, our catering menu includes pizzas, pasta, chicken, appetizers, and soft drinks. Catering orders require at least 48 hours' notice.
Reserve Your Date and Plan the Reveal
The smoothest parties have a simple rhythm: welcome guests, play a few games, gather everyone for the announcement, then share dessert and take photos. There is no need to pack every minute with activities.
For a gender reveal celebration in Pittsburgh, contact us with your preferred date, guest count, cake plans, and any decorations or reveal props. We will help arrange an indoor party where the surprise stays center stage, and everyone has a good time getting there.
