Learn Proven Sales Skills From a Local Coach
As a financial advisor, you offer a valuable service to many people in our community. Working with people to help them retire, meet financial goals, and overcome hardships is an honorable and needed skill. However, even if you’re a fantastic advisor, you might struggle to build your client base if you don’t have the skills needed to succeed as a businessperson as well. This is where the help of an experienced business coach can be very beneficial.
I am a business coach who has worked with companies of various industries and sizes in the Tacoma, Orting, and Puyallup, Washington areas, and I would love to help your agency thrive as well. I offer many skills to my clients depending on the state of their business and their unique needs, including time management, strategic planning, marketing advice, and sales skills.
In the sections to follow, I will focus on my sales training offerings and speak specifically to how they can help financial advisors grow their business. Read on to learn how we could reach new heights in your business by working together.
Understand Your Goals
The goals for your business should be at the center of every decision you make, and they even play a large role in improving your sales results. We will get into prospecting in the next section, but your vision should dictate which clients you would like to work with, and you should understand your areas of strength and sell those to your target market. If you don’t have goals in mind or a clear vision for what you want your business to look like, we can work together to determine the ideal path forward.
Perfect Your Prospecting Process
Once you understand your goals and you know your target market, the next step is to seek out clients and offer your services. This can be done in many ways, and is referred to as prospecting. The key to effective prospecting is to have a process and stick to it, regardless of how your business is performing. Consistent prospecting will help your business experience consistent results rather than the peaks and valleys which are common in sales.
Close with Confidence
As you get into a routine of prospecting, you will need to become comfortable asking people to use your services. In sales, asking for someone to make a commitment is known as closing, and there are many skills you can build to make you a better closer. Part of effective closing is the process of determining how your prospect is struggling, telling them how you can help them, and then asking them to commit to your services. If you can truly hear their needs and build value for how you can help them, asking for the sale becomes much easier.
If you feel your sales skills could use some honing and you want to grow your business with the help of an expert, I would love to partner with you. Please feel free to contact me today to learn more about my coaching services.
