This one was fun. We were contacted on a Thursday afternoon by the GM at Griffin Chevrolet with an urgent request. The design/sign company he had been woking with on the design and eventual install for the Wauwatosa Crime Stoppers car graphics sent him a text stating that they weren't going to be able to complete the design, or the install before the car was to be presented to the Wauwatosa Crime Stoppers. Thanks for the heads up. We had a grand total of 16 hours to complete the design, print and produce the graphics and install them. Not to mention that we already had a full production board. Time for the Optimum Signs advantage!
When we reviewed the design, it was rough. The colors didn't flow and there really wasn't anything to grab someone's attention. We started with a comic style superhero on the hood of the car and the customer loved it! We even brought the cape down both sides of the car to add color. Within about an hour, we had turned the design around. Time for the car.
After cleaning the car, we began at the front of the car. The hood was 100% covered so we wrapped the hood. The rest of the car we used cut graphics. Because we remove the door handles instead of wrapping around them, we were able to provide a seamless install. It takes a little longer, but it is the right way to wrap a car. More cut graphics on the back and we were done. Total time from contact to install was less than 12 working hours. Not to mention we didn't miss any other customers deliveries. This is the Optimum Signs advantage. We find a way to help our customers. In this case, it was changing the design and wrapping a car to meet a delivery date. In the end, the police department wanted a different hood design, which we also turned around in under 12 hours.
