Armstrong

Growth is always fun.  It can happen suddenly, or take some time, but either way, every business wants it.  Armstrong General Contractors is no different. They have been growing at a very steadly pace over the past two years.  So much so, that they have added a number of new vehicles to their fleet.  The fun part of this was that we did their first truck when they started up almost two years ago and it was also one of Optimum Signs first vehicles we wrapped.

Two years ago when Armstrong General Contracting showed up at our door with an idea for vehicle graphics, all they had was a logo and a pickup.  They spent the better part of a day working with our designer on what the truck should look like. We went through multiple versions. Graphics on the doors, graphics down the entire side, logo only, contact only, and about 5 other options.  When we finally got the design that they were looking for, we both knew it.  Now, they have a different kind of vehicle. The new Ford Transit vans.  These vans offer a great deal of space for a very reasonable price.  So we had to modify the original design to account for the new vans.  We used the company logo along with the contact information on three sides of the truck.  We made the logo much larger so that it stands out. We did the same thing with the contact information.

Two years ago we used 3M’s IJ180CV3 to print the graphics on. Today, we have moved to Avery Dennison’s 1005 premium wrap grade material.  We made the change because the Avery product conforms to the surface of the vehicle easier than the 3M. When coupled with Avery’s 1460 laminate, the print looks brighter and much more vivid. Plus, we have had 0 failures while using the Avery product in almost 18 months.  The laminate is optically clear and gives the vinyl a ‘wet’ look.  This was definitely an improvement in our product offering.

If you are upgrading a fleet of vehicles or maybe even looking to give your corporate image an upgrade, please give us a call.  We love working with mixed or dedicated fleets.  Give us a call at 262.289.9481 or email us at info@optimumsignswi.com. Optimum Signs, we get you noticed.
