Heiser Ford was undergoing a massive remodel when the Vice President of the group noticed an alarming trend. People would walk into the showroom and see the equipment tearing out the showroom floor and turn around and walk out! Marketing is always about how to get people to your brand and to have people walk into the showroom then leave was not acceptable. When we arrived on site there was construction equipment spread everywhere in the showroom and scattered throughout the parking lot. A great deal of activity but no indications that they were open. The sales people were huddled in a small conference room with the door closed to avoid the loud noises of jackhammers and power chisels. Boy did we shake things up. We recommended three changes. The first was using 4′ x 8′ custom banners that clearly state that they were open during the remodeling. They were reluctant to use banners as the last sign company lacked a vision and the creative ability to relate the customers branding and a clear message. When they saw our design, one of the owners said that they had not had this kind of clear message and design in a very long time. Optimum Signs says thank you. The second change is to get the sales people out of the conference room and into the showroom where they belong! And the third was to park a few cars on the concrete platform near the doors to the showroom with window clings announcing “SALE” and “LOW INTEREST FINANCING”.
