We were recently contacted by Transfer Pizza to take a design that the owner had come up with and turn it into a attention grabbing, vehicle wrap. The owner had a strong idea of how he wanted it to look but didn't know what was possible. That's where Optimum Signs design team came into play.
Our exemplary service starts long before the truck arrives at our facility. Our designers engaged the owner to ensure that we understood his vision and how the truck fit into that vision. We made necessary changes to the design to facilitate a partial wrap on the truck while keeping the owners vision in mind. The design was exactly what Transfer Pizza wanted. Now came the hard work. Turning the design into a mobile billboard that consumers can quickly and easily figure out what the wrap is promoting.
One thing about vehicle templates that is interesting is that it doesn't matter who you buy them from, they are all have errors. With the newness of the vehicle, most normal sources didn't have a true template. The ones that did admitted that because of the number of body options for the Transit, it was more of a suggestion than a template. Boy were they right. From the front door to the back corner, the template was off by almost a full inch. Our installers had to had cut the vinyl once it was applied in order to match the body side seam and keep the design level to the body of the truck. All without getting too close to the new paint. True artistry. The design also called for a horizontal line that surrounded the truck. Most designers know not to use horizontal strips because it is very difficult to keep the lines from dropping at the corners of the truck. This didn't stop our team and we accomplished what the owner wanted. After a proper heating of the finished wrap, time to deliver the truck.
