Polycarbonate (also known as Lexan) is a UV resistant versatile substrate and is becoming more common in the signage industry, especially in applications where high impact resistance, temperature resistance and optical properties are required. Applications include but not limited to exterior sign faces such as lightboxes and pylon panels, vandal proof signs, building signs, directional signs, and trade show displays. Clear polycarbonate can also achieve a three dimensional effect by applying color to the reverse side.
