This Ford GT from JoyRide, located in Los Angeles, CA got a stunning a custom makeover by the vinyl ninjas at Iconography Studios. The vehicle grade vinyl wrap material was printed with a custom-orange color that was hand-selected by the customer. Several sample print runs of the color in various shades were produced so that the customer could select exactly the shade and tone. Once the material was printed it was then laminated with aUV film to protect it against sun fading as well as minor scratches. Finally, it the vinyl wrap was expertly wrapped around every tricky curve this vehicle has to offer by the certified installation team at Iconography.
As with all of our color change wraps and exotic car wraps, we disassemble most vehicles quite a bit in order to get a smooth seamless finish around the edges, compound curves and in between the body panels. This typically means dropping bumpers, headlights and certain trim pieces.
The great thing about a custom color change wrap, is that there are many cast vinyl colors to chose from and they call come in different finishes from very flat to matte to satin to high gloss. Furthermore, if there isn’t the exact color you want already made by one of the major manufacturers including Avery, Oracal or 3M, then we can print just about any color on one of our large format digital printers,like we did with this orange Ford GT. The printed material is always laminated before it is installed, and the laminate comes in matte, semi-gloss or high gloss.
