Our customer, an interior designer for Long Beach company, Linq3, was looking for an elegant way to add privacy to a conference room while at the same time allowing light to flow through in an elegant setting. [caption id="" align="alignleft" width="288"] Etched Vinyl Application[/caption] Project: Etched Vinyl Decals on Conference Room Glass Wall Location: Long Beach, CA Client: Linq3 Custom frosted vinyl patterns are an excellent way to achieve privacy while at the same time adding a look of elegance and design to almost any space. Working with the company’s interior designer, we were able to recreate a pattern idea they had seen. This etched, or frosted, vinyl application provides both privacy and elegance to the businesses glass conference room walls. It also allows light to flow through the space. The etched vinyl material is a large roll of adhesive-backed vinyl film. The frosted, or "etched" vinyl, comes in large rolls up to 48" wide and 150 yards long. The one limitation with the largest width of the material being 48″, is that any applications larger than that will need to have a seam somewhere. For applications exceeding 48" , we recommend a pattern in order to avoid any seams.  Fortunately, our design team are very good at coming up with creative patterns and designs to hide or eliminate the need for seams. There are also several densities and styles of the actual etch or frosted grain available to choose from, as well as different textures and slight color variations from matte greys to brighter crystal finishes. Once a design is created, the roll of etched vinyl film is then fed through a graphic plotter that cuts the material into whatever shape or design we have created using our design software. Patterns, logos, company names – just about anything you can think of can be incorporated into the design of an etched or frosted vinyl application. Frosted vinyl can be applied to almost any glass or acrylic surface including doors, windows, tables, signs and more. Custom designs that include logo cut-outs or custom color digital prints added as an overlay are simple and easy to do.
