Privacy window graphics are an ideal solution for both residential and commercial situations where an element of privacy is desired, yet you still want to maintain natural lighting as well as incorporate a graphic or other design. Graphic installations on windows, doors and other surfaces can be achieved using a perforated window film - a vinyl film that has tiny holes throughout the film, allowing light to pass through. The other side is finished with an adhesive that is used to mount the film to a door, window or other glass surface. People on the inside, or the non-printed side, of the film can see out, while the graphic on the printed side obstructs the view for people on the outside. Perforated window graphics can be done on a very small scale, such as the rear window of a car or small bathroom windows, or on a very large scale such as an entire storefront or office complex. Either way, the process for designing, producing and installing the graphic wraps is pretty much the same: 1. Design. The first step is to create the design for your window graphics. This can be done using high resolution photographs, graphic design, lettering, logos or a combination of all of these things. Once a design has been finalized on paper, it is built into a file that can be sent to print. 2. Production. This step includes building the print file from the design file, and sending it to one of our large format digital printers where it is printed onto our perforated window film. This vinyl film comes with tiny holes perforated uniformly throughout the material. The perforation allows for viewing out from the backside of the material, while the graphic that is printed onto the front provides the privacy screen. The perforation can come in varying degrees of visibility - larger holes mean more visibility; smaller holes mean better integrity of the graphic image, but more limited visibility. Once the material has been printed, it is finished with a UV laminate film to protect against fading from the sun as well as minor scratches. It is important to clean the windows just before installation, allowing enough time for them to dry thoroughly. Window should be cleaned 24 hours in advance of window wrap installation.
