Custom Business Sign

Phenix Salon Suites opened its new location in Santa Monica, CA and were in need of an upscale sign to meet the high standards in their new neighborhood.  Before the design phase of the job could even begin, we had to help the owners secure a sign plan for their new location with the City’s Architectural Review Board. This meant several meetings, renderings and revisions to arrive at a solution that would meet the City’s criteria as well as meet the customer’s desires and expectations.

Once the City had signed off on all the necessary documentation, we were ready to begin construction of the sign. By using acrylic letters that are pushed through a shaped aluminum backer we were able to give the sign lots of dimension.  The cabinet face is painted black to showcase the metallic silver painted letter faces.  At night, the internal light escapes through the sides of the letters to light up the sign. After the sign construction was completed, we installed a raceway to the back of the sign. We then mounted the raceway to the back of the existing awning, giving the sign an elevated appearance.
