Vinyl vehicle graphics are not meant to be permanent; they are semi-permanent. They will look great and wear well for several years. How long the graphics last is largely dependent on how well they are taken care of. Dirt and grime are your wrap's biggest enemies. Keeping your car clean on a weekly basis with a gentle hand wash is the best way to care for your wrap. With a partial wrap or graphics - that is, graphics that do not cover the entire vehicle, your vehicle may experience some "ghosting" of your original paint. Vinyl vehicle graphics can easily be removed from your vehicle's original factory OEM paint within 5 years of installation without causing damage to the paint. After 5 years, the adhesive backing on the material will begin to harden and may cause damage to the paint when removed. If your vehicle has an after-market paint job, then there is a good chance that there will be some lifting of the paint when the vinyl is removed.
