problem to be solved: Vaulted ceilings with wall of glass facing direct sun light, creating heat, glare, and fading.
We were contacted by Dr Brown, who was building a home in Ft.Worth, Texas. Main concern was his living rooms west face wall of windows. It was the month of November and the customer was already feeling the sun’s heat and glare, while knowing that the sun would eventually fade the wood floors and furniture.
Even though Dr. Brown was going to have window treatments installed, those products will not keep the solar energy out of the home and would have to remain closed in order to stop glare and fading. Since the window treatments were 3 times more expensive than the solar film, he knew the sun would eventually ruin the window treatments and it also would need replacing.
Dr. Brown was building outside of the windows in question, so maintaining view was also important. We installed a few of the Huper Optik Fusion samples and he picked the Fusion 20 product. This product reduces 75% of the glare, 70% heat, and UV 99.9%. His home already had Low-E windows, so Fusion 20 being added would increase the heat and UV rejection to even a higher level.
Dr. Brown was elated with the instant results after the application of the Fusion 20 and contracted us to do all the remaining windows of his new home.
