Architects and glass companies all across the country are using decorative window film to give customized contemporary looks to simple interior office glass.
The picture is of a mock up done, that was later approved/installed, for the new State Farm corporate offices in Richardson, TX. There was a single decorative film that was overlayed in a customized pattern to give a tiered-density look. This pattern can be layed out on a computer and assemble different renditions until a customer approves. Then we have the film layered and cut out to the specifice design approved then just install the designed film pattern for final approval.
This particular product was a 3M Dusted Crystal translucent film that was multi-layered diagonally to create a very unique look. Once the lamination of the films is done then it is just a simple single-sheet installation at a prescribed starting point on the glass. Due to different glass widths, the product was cut to a custom length and numbered for each office to give a continuation look to the design. When all office doors are closed the pattern looks virtually unbroken.
These type patterns can be done with different types of translucent films. Not all have to be laminated, some of the designs found on our website agtinters.com, we can cut-out or install in layers by hand.
We have done multiple floors of interior glass with a custom-design cut out pattern all by hand, just following an Architect’s drawing.
The great advantage of this is no matter what the design or pattern, if in 5 years + later, if you want a design change we can remove the film and re-install new film with a new design.
