Batter’s Eye Club at Texas Ranger’s Ball Park
Arlington, TX – 2012
The Texas Rangers approached Architectural Glass Solutions about solutions for the new corporate suite being built in center field on the lower level.
Construction to start upon the completion of the 2011 World Series. Issues where glare, heat , and privacy. Privacy was an issue because if someone was wearing a white shirt in the first 3 rows of the stadium style seating of the suite, the batter could see this person getting up or sitting down while in the batters box.
Issue: Rangers management was concerned about obstructing or dimming the view for the patrons in the suite.
Solution: 100% metallized solar film (medium tint) that would reduce heat and glare and create privacy, while actually improving the view of the field and the game. Product highlights the colors while relaxing the eyes by reduction in glare the same as polarized-glasses. see pictures attached
Ranger’s management was delighted to know that such product existed to meet their objectives as well as enhance the view out.
Installation was completed the week of opening day for the 2012 Texas Ranger baseball season.
