We enjoy working with customers who have a passion for helping others. Glenn Moore, owner of Nashville’s Fresh Fish & Fry, has an inspirational story behind his new business. Let’s take a look at the custom full-coverage food truck wrap we recently designed, printed and installed for Glenn! [caption id="attachment_1572" align="aligncenter" width="624"] We love the cool, funky design on Glenn’s new food truck! Talk about getting noticed![/caption]Glenn recently retired after working for General Motors for 33 years, but he didn’t want a typical retirement. Inspired his strong faith, he felt a calling from God to start a business to help broken men in need (especially those under the influence of drugs) called the House that Cares. Glenn’s eventual plan is for the House that Cares organization to provide an 18 month program to house and provide work for men after rehabilitation. Before he could move forward with his vision, he needed the financial resources to open and support the organization. The idea for the food truck came to Glenn when he was transferred to the GM plant in Lansing, MI in 2010. During his short time there, he fell in love with the amazing food at the original Fresh Fish & Fry restaurant, a top-rated seafood restaurant. The restaurant is best known for its delicious seasonings on its fresh fish and seafood, as well as its highly addictive “Crack Chicken!” Glenn quickly realized that Fresh Fish & Fry was needed in Nashville, too. When he was able to retire, Glen called the owner of the Lansing restaurant, and asked if he could be his first franchisee. As you can see, the rest is history! [caption id="attachment_1572" align="aligncenter" width="614"] Wayne (left), the owner of the original Fresh Fish & Fry in Lansing, worked with Glenn to create the first mobile Fresh Fish & Fry franchised restaurant.[/caption]Once the franchise contract was signed, Glenn began searching for a food truck. He found a rebuilt 16’ 2002 GMC (former) FedEx truck in Virginia and decided it was the perfect truck for his new business! [caption id="attachment_1572" align="aligncenter" width="560"] Glenn was excited when he located this former FedEx truck (converted to a food truck) in Virginia. [/caption]Next, Glenn began searching for a local company with the expertise and experience to design, print and install an amazing food truck wrap. Fortunately, he called us and our super talented graphic designer began working on the design. Our designer used the Lansing store’s outdoor sign as inspiration to create the Fresh Fish & Fry logo for the new Nashville “mobile” store. He included the logo and Crack Chicken graphic into the design, and also included a background pattern of chicken and fish icons along with yellow stripes. These elements gave the food truck wrap a feeling of energy and fun. Fortunately, Glenn loved the design and approved it quickly! Our team then printed the vehicle wrap on high quality vinyl and applied a protective laminate. Our talented team of installers worked for several days to install the new custom wrap.
