Nashville residents (and those who live in surrounding areas) have fallen in love with a quaint little restaurant that sells some of the best Southern comfort food you’ll ever eat! With their first two locations in the Gulch and Hillsboro Village, Biscuit Love has created quite the buzz in Middle Tennessee over the last few years. The restaurant owners recently opened another Biscuit Love location here in beautiful Franklin, TN. Let’s take a look at how we created custom signage for all three locations. [caption id="attachment_1613" align="aligncenter" width="497"] Check out the warm, welcoming custom signage we created for Biscuit Love’s newest restaurant in Franklin, TN. The signs were designed to look beautiful in front of the gorgeous historic home![/caption] Dimensional Post & Arm Sign Biscuit Love’s creative director provided the artwork for the custom dimensional post & arm sign. She explained that the new sign needed to fit the existing black post and arm left by a previous tenant. We created the base of the round sign using a 1/8″ thick black powder coated aluminum panel, which was 34” in diameter. The 28” x 8” OPEN DAILY portion of the sign also had the same powder coat finish. The white borders, red hearts and blue graphics were contour cut and digitally printed onto high quality vinyl material. We laser cut the dimensional letters (BISCUIT LOVE and OPEN DAILY) out of ¼” thick white acrylic and applied them to the front surfaces of both signs. Our team then installed the new custom signs on the post and arm at the new location. Dimensional Logo Sign Above the Front Door We fabricated another dimensional sign to go above the front door using a 1/4″ thick aluminum composite panel wrapped in satin black vinyl. The same laser cutting process was used to create the 1/2” thick white acrylic letters. We applied a red satin finish paint to the heart. The white border and blue graphics were digitally printed and contour cut and then applied to the surface of the sign. The new custom logo sign was installed above the front door. [caption id="attachment_1617" align="aligncenter" width="450"] We love the way this custom sign complements the beautiful archway above the historic front door![/caption] Temporary Banners Before the new Franklin location was opened, we also printed three 96” x 24” temporary banners to hang on the front porch. The banners included a “Join Our Team” banner, a general logo banner, and also a banner that said “Now Open.” These banners served as temporary signage before the final custom signs were completed. [caption id="attachment_1618" align="aligncenter" width="600"] These banners worked great as temporary signage and can be used for future locations.[/caption] Window Graphics In addition to the work we did for the new Franklin restaurant, we also fabricated and installed window graphics for the Gulch and Hillsboro Village locations. The artwork was provided by Biscuit Love. The window graphics were second surface, layered black and gold with a vintage look. The gold vinyl was double sided mirror gold, so that the gold could be seen from both sides of the glass windows. The fun messages on these graphics made these especially clever! [caption id="attachment_1619" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Don't these window graphics make you want to step into Biscuit Love and buy some biscuits?[/caption] Last, but certainly not least, we also fabricated and installed window graphics with the Biscuit Love logo and additional wording on the glass doors at the Gulch and Hillsboro Village locations. [caption id="attachment_1620" align="aligncenter" width="450"] These simple window graphics provide just enough information to entice customers inside, while also providing the hours of operation and website.
