With Father’s Day coming up, it reminds us of last year when Limitless AutoWorks (a subsidiary of 12-Point SignWorks) partnered up in a great sting operation to pull off the Father’s Day surprise of a lifetime! We were contacted by some loving family members, who told us about a beautiful ’67 Ford Mustang they wanted to refresh for the dad in their lives. They had us at Hello…! The undercover plan began with a vehicle heist to get the classic Mustang from its home to our shop. Our trusted team member arrived incognito to get the car at the arranged time, and was amazingly able to drive the beautiful Mustang to our shop unnoticed – at least by the owner. Once in our shop, we were able to prep the car for installation by removing all door handles, badges, and accessory vinyl (i.e., the stripes along the bottom sides of the car). [caption id="attachment_1292" align="aligncenter" width="600"]                                                 The car is ready for us to begin work.[/caption] In order to choose the color that most accurately matched the paint on the Mustang, we let our customer review all the colors in our vinyl sample books. She chose 3M 1080-G203 Gloss Red Metallic for the wrap material (great choice!), and we installed it on every painted surface of the classic car. As an added touch, we put 3M 1080-M22 Deep Matte Black stripes on the hood, starting at the windshield and ending at the hood vents. They didn't know we were adding them, but we were willing to take the risk, because we were confident that the owner would love the look! As another surprise from our team of car-loving experts, we replaced the side stripes on the Mustang with more custom deep matte black stripes, and added ‘MUSTANG’ lettering to the stripe design. We were thrilled when the much-anticipated surprise was a complete success, and the owner loved it -- extra stripes and all! It was great fun to be part of heartfelt effort to bring back memories from yesteryear with this classic vehicle on such a special occasion as Father’s Day!
