Project: Partial Advertising Wrap for the Nashville Mobile Market Location: Nashville, TN Client: Community Food Advocates A fellow sign company kindly referred Community Food Advocates (CFA) to our shop to assist them with a partial advertising wrap for a new food truck. CFA, located in Nashville Tennessee, needed to transform the truck (covered in a custom paint job) into the new Nashville Mobile Market, which delivers fresh fruits and vegetables to neighborhoods that have limited access to healthy groceries. CFA is a non-profit organization that formed in 2009, as the result of a merger between Manna and Food Security Partners of Middle Tennessee. Some of the programs offered by CFA include:
  • Connecting low-income families with benefits that help them afford groceries
  • Involving the community with volunteer opportunities
  • Sending the Nashville Mobile Market into areas of need
  • Improving the food selection within the Metro Nashville Public School System
The people behind this wonderful organization have the same goal: All members of our community should have access to food grown in a way that promotes the health of people, planet and community. The pictures below show the transformation of the truck from its original paint job into the bright, lively Nashville Mobile Market. In the pre-wrap state, the truck definitely needed a boost of color and graphics to highlight its purpose on the road.

When we first met with the CFA rep, he asked if we could wrap the entire truck yellow and then add the contour cut graphics. As a non-profit, CFA had a specific budget for this project, and the cost to wrap everything (including the hardware and little details) was a bit too high. We suggested that they have the truck painted yellow, which would fit their budget and still give the same effect. It was the perfect plan!

After the paint cured, the truck came to our shop for the wrap. We took the design, which was created by the CFA rep's daughter, and adapted it to the truck's measurements. We also color matched the yellow in the wrap design to the yellow paint color so they would blend and be pleasing to the eye.

We printed and laminated the graphics and cut the vinyl, following the lines and curves of the fruits, veggies and logos. Then we installed them on the sides and rear of the truck. It was so fun to see it all come together! Side view of the cut vinyl graphics. 12-Point SignWorks

Advertising wraps offer a cost-effective, attractive and unique way to tell the community who you are. In this case, the Nashville Mobile Market easily is identified by residents in need of healthy food options. We can't wait to see the wonderful blessings this truck brings to our Middle Tennessee neighbors. There is so much flexibility when it comes to advertising wraps. They can be full coverage or partial coverage (like this one).  If you want to learn more about your advertising wrap options, contact us today at 615-595-6564 or send us an email. We would love to answer all of your questions!
