Project: Full Vehicle Advertising Wrap Location: Design and Installation in Franklin, Tennessee Client: Buddy Carter with Buddy Box Portable Storage in North Alabama Although Buddy Box Portable Storage is a privately owned business in North Alabama, Owner Buddy Carter spends some of his time in Middle Tennessee. At some point, he plans to expand his business of high-quality storage units into our area. We were happy to receive a request from Buddy to design and install a full coverage advertising wrap for his Ford F-250 XL Super Cab. Buddy Box Portable Storage currently serves all of North Alabama, including the cities of Huntsville, Decatur and Athens. Each unit provides 128 square feet of storage space and can be delivered to a residential address...or really anywhere that it's needed! The units are made of 26 gauge galvanized steel with bamboo floors and sealed double doors. Buddy Box offers convenience, security and affordable rates. Lucky for us, they should be expanding into Middle Tennessee at some point! The bold white lettering on the side of the truck really makes the name stand out.[/caption] The photo above shows the full vehicle advertising wrap that we designed and installed for Buddy. To create the design, Buddy emailed us his ideas about what he wanted for the truck, including the following:

• A dimensional texture, such as carbon fiber, for the background
• The use of his blue, red and white branding colors
• An easy-to-read script
• A visual display of an actual storage unit
• The use of the logo on the hood of the truck
• Displaying the 'Buddy Box' name in white block lettering on the doors

Buddy also emailed us his logo and a photo of a storage unit. Thanks to Buddy's detailed information, we had a final design in just two revisions. We digitally printed the design on premium cast vinyl with a gloss overlaminate for the body of the truck. For the rear window of the truck, we used perforated window film with a premium cast overlaminate. We have found that installers of vehicle wraps do not always laminate the perforated window vinyl. Unfortunately, this can cause the graphics to fade faster and also can allow dirt and water to collect in the small micropunctures of the vinyl. This can reduce the visibility through the window, which can be dangerous! The photos below show additional views of the details we included in the wrap design. The tiny holes cover 50% of the vinyl and allow for visibility from the inside out.[/caption] Full vehicle advertising wraps, or really any type of mobile advertising, can generate between 30,000 and 70,000 impressions each and every day. An advertising wrap is more effective than a business card alone because it can reach potential customers that you would not typically meet.
